Permission to Start Fresh

by SarahMae on May 20, 2011

You started 31 Days to Clean with a bang! You were motivated! Excited! Ready to take on the world…or, at least, your kitchen.

But then, it happened. Life intervened. Tiredness took over. Feelings of anxiety set in. Too much…might as well give up.

I know how you feel! I struggle with these thoughts everyday. But friend, let me encourage, this challenge is not meant to give you guilt, but on the contrary, to encourage you to love well where you’re at (and as who God weaved you to be). Remember, the challenge is not about perfection, it is about choosing life! So what if you don’t complete all the Martha challenges – do you really think loving people is about the mechanics? No! We persevere in order to give life and to love those around us. We seek to be the aroma of Christ…and Christ offers no condemnation to those who are in Him.

If you are in Him, you are already perfect for eternity. Your house may not be, but you are. :)

Today, I give you “permission” to start fresh. Do what you can, on a timetable that suits where you’re at in life. Enjoy the journey, don’t feel pressured or take on false guilt. You are free!
